Craftsmanship Note
Insulated bags are inspected for liner integrity as well as stitching — we check for punctures, seam gaps, and delamination between the liner and the foam core, since a fault there defeats the thermal performance without being visible from the outside.
Cooler & Insulated Bags — OEM manufacturing overview
An insulated bag is a bag with a thermal sandwich built into it: an outer shell, an insulating core, and a reflective or food-safe inner liner. That extra layer is what separates this category from a standard tote — it changes the cutting, the sewing sequence, and the seam treatment, and it is why the lead time runs longer than an uninsulated bag of the same size. We build everything from single-can lunch totes to large-format delivery backpacks on the same principle.
Materials & construction
Aluminium Foil Liner
The reflective inner layer that returns radiant heat. Standard for lunch and grocery use, and the most cost-effective liner.
PEVA Liner
Food-safe, seamless-weldable liner used where the interior must be wiped down or must hold a spill without leaking.
EPE Foam
The insulating core. Thickness is the main lever on thermal performance, and it trades directly against packed bulk and unit cost.
Waterproof Oxford
PU-coated outer shell for the base and high-abrasion panels — the usual choice for anything carried daily.
Cotton Canvas
Outer-shell option for lifestyle and picnic positioning where the bag needs to read as a retail product rather than as equipment.
Recycled rPET
Recycled outer shell for sustainability-positioned lines, available with GRS documentation.
Customization options
Two decisions drive everything else: insulation thickness, and whether the interior seams are bound or heat-sealed. Heat-sealed seams make the interior genuinely leak-resistant rather than merely wipeable, and are worth specifying if the bag will carry ice packs or anything that can condense.

Quotation
We provide a detailed quote within 24 hours — materials, cost, timeline.
Sampling
We produce a pre-production sample for your approval (7-14 days).
Production
After sample approval, bulk production begins with inline QC checks.
Quality Control
Final inspection against AQL standard before packing.
Shipping
We arrange sea or air freight with full documentation support.
Quality standards

Frequently asked questions
What is the MOQ for insulated cooler bags?
Sample MOQ is 1 piece; bulk MOQ starts at 200 pieces per design and colorway.
Why is the lead time longer than for a standard tote?
The insulated layer adds cutting, laminating, and sewing steps, and heat-sealed liners need a separate welding operation. That extra process is the difference, not the size of the bag.
How long will it keep contents cold?
That depends on insulation thickness, bag volume, ambient temperature, and whether ice packs are used, so we do not quote a single figure. Tell us the use case and target hold time and we will spec the foam thickness against it and confirm on a sample.
Is the interior food-safe?
PEVA liners are food-contact safe and are what we recommend for any bag holding unpackaged food. Testing documentation for your destination market can be arranged if required.
Can the interior be made genuinely leakproof?
Yes, with heat-sealed rather than bound seams. Specify this at the quoting stage — it changes the construction, so it is not something that can be added after sampling without a re-quote.
