Anti-Theft Travel Backpacks — OEM manufacturing overview
Anti-theft backpacks are bought on features, so we build them feature by feature. The main compartment can open against the back panel so nothing faces the street, zippers can be hidden under a flap or locked together, and the shell can be reinforced with a cut-resistant layer where a blade would normally get through. Typical customers are travel-accessory brands, commuter-bag lines and corporate gift programs that want a laptop backpack with a clear selling point. Materials & construction
Coated polyester / rPET shell
The usual outer for city and travel models: water-repellent coating, clean surface that takes printing and embossing well, and a recycled option at a similar price tier.
Cut-resistant layer
A stainless-steel wire mesh or high-tenacity fibre layer laminated behind the shell on the front and base panels. It adds some weight, so most programs reinforce only the panels that face outward.
RFID-blocking lining
Metallised fabric used to line a passport or card pocket. It is sewn into one pocket rather than the whole bag, which keeps cost and weight down.
Nylon
Chosen for lighter travel models where the bag has to stay under carry-on weight limits.
Customization options
Beyond the logo, buyers usually choose which anti-theft features to include — each one adds cost, so a commuter bag might take only a back-opening main compartment and an RFID pocket, while a travel model adds cut-resistant panels and lockable zippers. Laptop sleeve size (14"-17"), trolley sleeve, bottle pockets and colourway are also set per order.

Is a cut-resistant backpack completely slash-proof?
No bag is. A cut-resistant layer makes it much harder to slit the panel it covers, which is what stops most opportunistic theft, but we do not market or label it as slash-proof and we recommend your copy doesn't either.

Can the backpack be made from recycled fabric?
